where are my fellow hysterical women who would have either been a) an oracle in ancient greece or b) burned at the stake in medieval times…..make some noise ladies

5 Things Tag
tagged by @tambourgi! (sorry I didn’t see this sooner! my tumblr usage has been spotty).
5 things you’ll find in my bag:
1. My kindle. I’ve had it for years but in the last few months I’ve finally got around to actually utilizing it for it’s full worth.
2. hand cream (I’ve got a nice rose scented one at the mo, courtesy of @tambourgi and @kardomahgangster :-) )
3. Muji pens
4. loose change
5. bobby pins. They have a way of gathering in the corners of my pockets and purses except when I need them, and they all mysteriously vanish.
5 things you’ll find in my bedroom:
1. Books. Books that have spawned books. Books that have kidnapped other books and are holding them for ransom. I can’t wait until I move somewhere with a proper book shelf.
2. Candles.
3. My slippers
4. My wall of Kafka.
5. A stuffed camel/goat (in both my childhood and current bedroom, mind you).
5 of my favorite things:
1. Pierogis
2. Klezmer Punk
3. Dates (the food, not the activity)
4. Goat Cheese
5. Teva Sandals
5 things I’m currently into:
1. BABYLON BERLIN. Oh my god what a glorious mess of a show. Everyone needs to go watch it now…
2. Movie Pass! I feel like I’ve become a walking spokesperson for Movie Pass. I’ve seen so many movies in the last few months and it’s made me such a movie snob, I love it.
3. Angels in America. The new Broadway revival was a religious experience and I wish I could just gift it to everyone in my life, everyone I know would probably like something in it and it’s just so beautiful and so good.
4. Maple-Almond flavored ThinkThin Bars. It’s like maple sugar candy that you can eat for breakfast.
5. Happy endings/Lighter media. Maybe it’s the combo of law school/life stress/things but my tolerance (Babylon Berlin aside) for depressing books/tv/movies has been running a little thin.
5 things on my to-do list:
1. Pick a writing project and stick with it! I’m currently between a 1.) Magical Realism-y Middle Grade 2.) A Historical YA murder mystery 3.) a historical novel-in-verse about my favorite anarchist 4.) A contemporary f/f YA romance set in Scotland. I love all my projects but I can’t seem to finish any of them and I just need to stick with one long enough to get to the effing end…
2. Find a job.
3. Do my reading for my anti-discrimination law paper.
4. Send two rather important networking emails.
5. Find a job.
5 (or more) people I want to see do this (if u want):
Eh, who ever wants to do it…
Jews collectively ended folk music as a genre when they made “punk inspired klezmer song about a Jewish terror cell that tried to get back at Germany for the Holocaust” an actual thing that exists. It’s physically impossible to top that.

To the tune of “Santa Baby”
Holofernus, go on and have that sixth daiquiri, for me
We sure are having fun!
Holofernus, and please ignore the sword in my bag!
